Atop a hill near Stirling Castle and near where he defeated the English in battle is a tower dedicated to William Wallace. And probably better known to the rest of the world as the hero of Braveheart. Inside the tower is a rather narrow 246 step spiral stairway which leads up to the top where there is a outdoors viewing deck. The views are excellent! Inside, there are 3 levels of high ceilinged rooms which tell the history of William Wallace.
