Dunstaffnage Castle
Dunstaffnage Castle, from the 13th century, is more ruins than castle at this point but the exterior walls are still standing tall. Not much is left of the interior although the guard house still stands, the top of which is visible from outside the castle wall. Pigeons have also taken to a liking to this castle - they're everywhere! It is a neat little castle though, sitting in the middle of a field atop a giant rocky mound. In addition to the castle, there is also a chapel ruin nearby in a slightly spooky part of the forest.
