Doune Castle
Doune Castle was originally built in the 13th century but was rebuilt in the 14th century. The castle is a fairly small structure with a living area and a courtyard surrounded by walls. Most of the interior is currently unrestored and thus just bare walls. One room has been restored however showing what the interior of the castle may have looked like.
This castle is most famous for starring in the comedy "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". The castle more recently appeared in the pilot for "Game of Thrones" but apparently the episode was redone and the original pilot containing the castle has never been shown publicly.
