Spruce Knob
Spruce Knob is the highest point in West Virginia at 4863 feet. The peak fall foliage colors were fantastic on the drive up the narrow road to the summit, though many of the tees had completely lost their leaves near the top. Unfortunately, the majority of view points on the summit loop trail were to the west where the trees were already nearly completely devoid of leaves. It was surprising how much of a difference there was between the west and east sides!
