It was raining in the morning, quite steadily at times, as we arrived at the New River Gorge Bridge. There is an excellent view of the bridge, the river, and the gorge after a short walk down a set of wooden stairs to a viewing platform. We also drove down below to the river to for quite a different view. The fall colors looked better from down below!
