The Highland Scenic Highway runs along a mountain ridge with tree filled valleys on either side. Unfortunately, fall was long gone up along the route! We did see some good colors to the east at various scenic overlooks along the way, corresponding to what we saw yesterday as we drove to the south down in the eastern valley.
