Power Vista, Niagara Power Project
A few miles away from Niagara Falls lies the Niagara Power Project, the US side hydroelectric generation plant using water taken from above the falls. At the plant is the Power Vista, part science museum, part PR facility for NYPA, the state corporation which operates it. Its quite an interesting place perched above the plant with some interesting exhibits inside. And entirely free, showing just how much money NYPA is making! Its also surprisingly well done and quite interactive. Definitely worth a visit and one of the more interesting spots in the area!
