Waimea Canyon State Park
The weather today at Waimea Canyon was not optimal. It was rainy with low clouds. As the road ascended into the mountains, there were a few good viewpoints that gave a hint on the impressive scenery we would be able to see. Unfortunately, the low cloud layer prevented that from happening.

Waimea Canyon State Park has some incredible scenery, at some points from the side of the road. I imagine this is what the Grand Canyon would be like if there was significantly more precipitation there!

The Pu’u Hinahina Lookout, at the northern end of the Waimea Canyon State Park, offers amazing views of the canyon down below. Its amazing how green it is in all but the steepest portions!
Having done most of what we can do on Kauai, we went back to visit Waimea Canyon. When we went two days ago, by the time we got to Waimea Canyon Lookout, it was cloudy and visibility wasn't perfect. Today, it was quite different with some clouds up above but nothing down below. It was quite a sight!
