Pu’u O Kila Lookout
The Pu'u O Kila Lookout is at the end of the road in Kōkeʻe State Park on the northwestern side of Kauai. The lookout has a view of the Nāpali Coast 4,000 feet below. We were pleased to have a clear view of the valley!
The overlook is also a starting point for the Pihea Trail. We started hiking a bit but the initial downhill portion was rock covered with a thin layer of mud. Proceeding further didn't really seem like a good idea. It rained later on in the day so I'm glad we turned back.

The Pu’u O Kila Lookout in Kōkeʻe State Park looked much as it did when we were here two days ago. The water was a bit calmer and clearer though. We saw this point yesterday from down below on a boat so it was interesting to see it again from above. Very different view. The ground was much drier though and easier to walk on. A few minutes later, the weather started to change. The wind picked up and it started to get cool and clouds moved in. We left at that point!
