South Rim
We ended up visiting all but two viewpoints along the south rim at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Each one had great and different yet similar views of the canyon.
The scene also depended greatly on the weather. For most of the day, we were under cloud cover and the canyon was uniformly dark. However, the skies were bright resulting a huge difference for the digital camera sensor to capture. Rarely, the sun peeked through the clouds resulting in a partially illuminated canyon. Luckily, while it rained a bit and we heard thunder coming from the north rim, we didn't get any significant rainfall.
Covered in these photos are: Pulpit Rock, Cross Fissures, Chasm View, Sunset View, and Tomichi Point.
