Over the river and through the woods, to Nymph Lake we go! I headed up to the Bear Lake parking area pretty early and arrived about half an hour before sunrise. I immediately started heading up the trail to Nymph Lake. On the way up, the clouds were red behind me as the sun started rising. I didn't spend any time at all at Nymph after arriving and kept on going towards Emerald Lake.

As the trail to Emerald Lake is an out and back, I spent a bit more time at Nymph on my way back. The lake was completely frozen and I walked across it on my way back down to the trailhead.
