Sandal Trail
In northeastern Arizona lies the Navajo National Monument. The sandal trail is a short 1 mile, gradually descending, out and back trail leading to an overlook. The overlook is perched high above a canyon containing the Betatakin Cliff Dwelling. This is the only point in the park where this dwelling can be viewed without entering the canyon, which is only possible on a long ranger guided tour. The structures look like they have been restored quite a bit with many wooden roofs and ladders.
