Really nice views of the lake and surrounding mountains on the road from Queenstown to Glenorchy.

A number of movies have been shot in the area north of Glenorchy by the Dart River. Here is Wolverine walking down the road in X-Men: Origins... Isengard is also down the road a bit but its hard to tell - that movie obviously had crazy amounts of CG. And part of The Hobbit was shot in a field nearby as well. Some scene involving a guy that turns into a bear or something - I don't really recall since I watched it when I was really tired on the plane a few months ago and had alot of trouble trying to keep awake...
