The Hobbiton movie set in Matamata, New Zealand. The original set for the Lord of the Rings trilogy wasn't made to last, but for The Hobbit, they reconstructed Hobbiton using more permanent materials. No wonder Peter Jackson chose this location, its absolutely stunning!
